Zinsser's B-I-N & reg; is the ultimate shellac-based primer, sealer and stain killer. It is perfect for use on interior surfaces and spot priming of exterior surfaces. B-I-N & reg; offers unparalleled adhesion to glossy surfaces ‐ including glass ‐ without the need for scuff sanding and blocks stubborn and persistent stains. The high adhesion shellac formula seals porous surfaces with excellent enamel holdout, even sealing bleeding knots and sap streaks. B-I-N & reg; works brilliantly on water stains, mildew stains, nicotine, oil stains, marker pens stains and more. B-I-N & reg; permanently blocks every kind of odour (from smoke and fire damage to odours from pets and nicotine). Its dried film is non-toxic and hypo-allergenic, and it may be used in areas where incidental contact with food items occur. The primer is white in colour, but can also be tinted to mid-tone colours. It can be applied via an airless sprayer, brush, conventional sprayer or roller. Zinsser Cover Stain is an interior / exterior primer, sealer, stain sealer and bond coat that dries for recoat in only two hours.
On interior surfaces, Cover Stain dries quickly and has great hiding power providing outstanding stain killing and enamel undercoating performance. Stains of all kinds are permanently sealed so topcoats are blemish free. Cover Stain is especially effective on nicotine and water stains.
On exterior surfaces, Cover Stain has a unique formulation that delivers full penetration and flexibility on all surfaces, especially dimensionally unstable wood paneling and trim, where few oil-based primers can succeed. Cover Stain resists cracking and peeling and is compatible with all decorative top coats.
